Stamped Concrete Restoration
To professionally recolor and seal stamped concrete, you must thoroughly clean the surface, strip any old sealer, and apply a specialized concrete stain before finishing with a high-quality sealant. The entire process requires careful preparation and technique to ensure a durable and attractive finish.

Prepare the Concrete Surface
Proper preparation is the most critical step and is essential for the new stain and sealer to adhere correctly.
Deep Clean the Surface: Use a pressure washer to remove all dirt, grime, and organic growth. A concrete-safe degreaser may be needed for oil, rust, or other heavy stains.
Strip the Old Sealer: If water beads on the surface, there is old sealer present that must be removed. Use a chemical stripper like Soy-Gel or sandblasting to fully remove the old sealant.
Repair Cracks: Fill any existing cracks with a colored cementitious patch material that matches your base color. Smooth the patch with a damp rag to blend it into the surface, and allow it to dry completely before proceeding.
Allow to Dry: The concrete must be completely dry before you apply any new color or sealer. Any trapped moisture can cause a cloudy "blushing" effect in the finished product.
